BLOCK71 is an initiative by the National University of Singapore (NUS) Enterprise, the entrepreneurial arm of NUS, to advance innovation and entrepreneurship at NUS and beyond through collaborative and strategic partnerships with established corporates and government agencies.

Last month, at the Asia Tech x Singapore 2023 event held in Singapore, Nagoya University had set up a joint booth with Aichi Prefecture at the invitation of NUS Enterprise, where 16 start-ups from Nagoya University were featured. NUS has also selected Nagoya as the first location in Japan for its NUS Overseas Colleges and BLOCK71 and Nagoya University is committed to strengthening its partnership with NUS.

Through establishing this base in Singapore, Nagoya University will promote its education, research, and industry-academia-government collaboration projects through partnerships with educational institutions, public institutions, and private companies in Asia.

We have already placed a faculty member of Nagoya University in Singapore, and as a hub in Asia, we are interacting with neighboring universities and neighboring countries. This will be the implementation of the "Global Multi-Campus" concept, which establishes bases at leading universities in Europe, the United States, and Asia, and will accelerate international collaboration in order to improve the competitiveness of universities.
